(VOVworld) - National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung has hailed the visit by Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies in the Italian Parliament, Marina Sereni, as a practical step to boost bilateral strategic relations as both countries have celebrated 40 years of diplomatic ties.

He told the Italian legislative leader in  Hanoi on Monday that he expected further development in bilateral ties and more Italian support in Vietnam’s economic development, market expansion and legislative cooperation. The same day, Vietnamese Deputy National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and Deputy Speaker Marina Sereni held talks on legislative and supervisory work and mutual support in international parliamentarian forum.
