(VOVworld) – A delegation led by Chairwoman of the Lao National Assembly Pany Yathotou is in Hanoi, beginning an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.

During talks on Monday, Chairman Hung expressed his belief that the Lao delegation will positively contribute to the success of the 132^nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-132). Chairwoman Pany Yathotou welcomed the Assembly’s Hanoi Declaration, adding that this will be an important statement toward sustainable development targets.

The two leaders agreed to continue strengthening their comprehensive cooperation and effectively implementing agreements between their two assemblies. They also agreed to regularly exchange national assembly and people’s council delegations and share legislative and supervisory experience.
