(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism held a program called “Spring-Family-Seas and Islands” in Hanoi on Saturday.

National Assembly chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and a number of ministry leaders attended the event. The program included performances in praise of the homeland, which aimed to highlight the strategic position and potential of Vietnam’s seas and islands. It also honored soldiers who are protecting national sovereignty.

Madame Ngan and Minister Nguyen Ngoc Thien presented 20 savings books to a number of disadvantaged border security and naval soldiers.
