Vu Hong Thanh, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Economic Committee, said: “The laws on the planning and management of land in urban areas were complete and timely and in accord with international norms and Vietnam’s international integration process."

"The laws create a corridor for urban development and financial resources for investment to develop the real estate market and infrastructure. They increase the effectiveness of land use and reduce loss and wastefulness in land use planning,” he added.

Deputies asked the National Assembly and the government to ensure sufficient land for public welfare projects in order to protect the environment and improve people’s living standards.

“The government should allocate enough land to entertainment and sport activities and health and education services,” said Pham Van Hoa, a deputy from Dong Thap province.

The deputies urged the NA to revise the Land Law and related laws to facilitate business production and attract domestic and foreign projects.
