National Assembly Standing Committee concludes 36th meeting

(VOVWORLD) - The 36th meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee closed in Hanoi on Friday. National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said important issues were examined and the meeting’s agenda was fulfilled.

During the five-day sitting, legislators discussed five bills – the draft law on amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Law on State Audits; the revised draft Law on Securities, the revised draft Labor Code, the draft Law on Reserve Forces, and the draft Law on Libraries. They also examined a draft resolution that explains the Law on Planning. The Committee supervised the management and use of off-budget financial funds from 2013-2018, and fire prevention and control from 2014-2018.

At the Q&A session, deputies questioned ministers regarding issues of voters' concern.  Cabinet members also responded to deputy’ questions concerning policies on science and technology development, aquaculture, seafood processing, sea-based economy, and use of foreign capital.
