(VOVWORLD) - A meeting to recall preparation for the August Revolution 74 years ago by national salvation youth members took place in Hanoi on Saturday.

Delegates shared with young people about their preparation of the revolution and encouraged them to contribute more to the capital city’s development. Former Secretary of Hanoi’s Party Organization, General Nguyen Quyet, said: “The August Revolution aimed to liberalize people pioneered by the Vietnamese people against oppression. The revolution has a special value in the fight for national independence and socialism building.”
Speaking in the event, Hanoi Youth Union’s Deputy Secretary Nguyen Khanh Binh pledged to facilitate youth start-ups and their contribution to national construction.
