NATO says no direct threats from Russia

(VOVworld) – NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told Germany’s Deutsche Welle newspaper on Friday that NATO doesn’t see any imminent threat from Russia against any NATO ally.

He said that NATO should build constructive relations with Russia, adding that they are not in new Cold War, given the current escalations. But he also confirmed that the relations between NATO and Russia are not as what the two expected after the Cold War.

Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has recently announced that NATO is building up its offensive capability on borders of Russia and Belarus.
