(VOVworld) – On Monday, Polish President Andrzej Duda swore in 52-year-old Beata Szydlo of the national conservative Law and Justice Party (PiS) as the new prime minister of Poland, after the a victory by conservatives in the parliamentary elections in October returned the conservative party to power after 8 years of moderate rule.
The swearing in ceremony began with a minute of silence for late President Lech Kaczynski, co-founder of the PiS, and victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris.
