Party Politburo member Vo Van Thuong meets voters in the southern province of Dong Nai on November 26, 2018.

While informing participants of the outcome of the National Assembly’s year-end session, Mr. Thuong reaffirmed the Party and State’s determination in the fight against corruption.

“Corruption is handled strictly including cases involving senior Party and State officials. All corrupted officials are duly punished no matter what position they hold or whether they are retired,” he noted. 

Mr. Thuong, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, said that Vietnam has maintained macro-economic stability and high economic growth, controlled inflation, and improved its investment climate.

The same day, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan met voters in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho.
