North Korea underscores 'sovereignty, mutual respect' in international relations

(VOVWORLD) -The Rodong Sinmun, the newspaper of North Korea’s ruling Workers' Party, carried an editorial in which it said that "unilateral demands" based on military and economic superiority undermine the sound development of international relations.

The editorial said that all countries and ethnic groups should develop their friendly, cooperative ties based on the principle of mutual respect, and they must not infringe on others' sovereignty. It added that Pyongyang is ready to improve or develop relations with a country that has had hostile or confrontational relations with North Korea but stressed that these countries should respect North Korea’s sovereignty and treat it in a friendly manner.
