Northwestern provinces hit hard by tropical low pressure
(VOVWORLD) -Torrential rains and floods have caused severe damage to northwestern mountainous provinces and the northern central region.

The Prime Minister has telegrammed ministries and related provinces to take immediate actions to minimize losses and ensure the safety of reservoirs and dams. Evacuation plans should be initiated to provide safe shelters and food supply for victims. By Tuesday evening, 16 people were reported dead or missing while more than 230 houses damaged in Yen Bai province. In Son La province, floods killed 2 people and destroyed 27 houses. 1 local was dead and 2 soldiers died of flash floods while in mission, 500 houses were submerged in Thanh Hoa province.
