Officials extend X’mas greetings to Catholics across Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh visited the Hue Archdiocese on Sunday to extend greetings to Archbishop Nguyen Chi Linh and local Catholic dignitaries and followers on the 2018 Christmas season.

Deputy PM Binh reiterated that the State always respects and guarantees the right to freedom of religion and beliefs of all people, considering it a consistent policy to ensure the rights and legitimate interests of religious followers, thus strengthening the national great unity for national development.

Also on Sunday morning, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Tran Thanh Man visited and presented gifts to Catholic dignitaries and followers at Lanh Tri diocese in Ha Nam province’s Duy Tien district. He expressed his belief that all Vietnamese Catholics will keep upholding the traditional patriotism and unity with people nationwide to continue implementing the VFF’s movements and campaigns for the sake of a prosperous society and a strong, democratic, equitable, and civilized nation.
