President Quang praised the ambassador’s contributions to bolstering bilateral ties and said he hopes that with considerable understanding of Vietnam-Uruguay relations, the diplomat will continue to support and further promote the sound friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

He reiterated that Vietnam always attaches much importance to developing relations with countries in South America, including Uruguay.

The Uruguayan diplomat took the occasion to convey President Tarabe Vazquez’s invitation to President Quang to visit Uruguay, stressing that the Vietnamese President’s first visit to the country will be a significant milestone in bilateral relations.
