Outstanding blood donors honored in Can Tho city
(VOVWORLD) -Can Tho city authorities hosted a ceremony on Sunday to tribute 72 individuals and families who have actively responded to blood donation campaigns.
The event marked World Blood Donation Day (June 14). Nguyen Thi Thuy Truc, a blood recipient, said: “I’ve suffered from chronic leukemia for 5 years and received treatment at Can Tho Blood Transfusion and Hematology Hospital. I’ve received blood 6 times. Now I’m getting better.”
Can Tho city launched its voluntary blood donation campaign in 1994.
