Addressing the event, Ambassador Tran Van Khoa said the meeting connects Vietnamese people in Bangladesh with their homeland, increases solidarity in the community, and gives them an opportunity to share their joy and difficulties living in Bangladesh.

Vietnamese living in Pardubice, Czech Republic, also held a party to celebrate the New Year with Vietnamese traditional food such as chung cake, spring rolls, and chicken.

“Each year when the New Year comes, we always remember  traditional Vietnamese Tet customs, like giving children lucky money. Vietnamese who live far from their homeland want to meet each other and recall the beauty of Vietnamese traditions,” said Dang Ngoc Hoa, who lives in Pardubice.

Tran Thi Thu, Head of the Vietnamese Fellow-countrymen Association in Macau, China, said the Association wants to bring a warm Tet celebration to overseas Vietnamese in Macau and hopes they will do their utmost to contribute to the development of Vietnam.
