(VOVworld)- Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong has stressed that combating corruption requires high determination and all-out efforts of all sectors and the whole political system. At the third meeting of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption in Hanoi yesterday, the Party leader asked all relevant agencies to pay greater attention to institutional building work and intensify their supervision of key areas and fields prone to corruption.

Party leader praised the committee’s efforts in the detection and punishment of corrupt acts as well as contributions made by the National Assembly (NA), the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and the whole political system as well as the press to the fight.  Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong said:“ In the first half of this year, the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption has inherited and brought into play experience in combating corruption learned from previous tenures. The fight against corruption has gained positive progress in various fields including the communication, the fine-tuning of the mechanism, the inspection and prosecution of corruption cases”.

He urged the committee to pay heed to the dissemination of information and prevention measures in the second half of this year, adding that it should focus on handling a number of corruption cases of public concerns.
