Party chief lays incense in honor of late Party leaders

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on Friday paid a New Year visits to party committees and people of Dong Anh and Phu Xuyen districts in Hanoi. He said party members should be role models for the people. The party leader also asked Hanoi’s districts to preserve the nation’s cultural values: “Culture is a spiritual foundation from which Dong Anh district should uphold its tradition. Culture means social fairness. All of us should follow Ho Chi Minh moral example and treat each other well”.

Earlier on Thursday, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong laid incense in honor of late Party leaders on the occasion of the 82nd founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam on February 3rd. Mr. Trong wished the relatives of the late Party leaders a New Year full of happiness, health, and prosperity. He also asked them to continue the family tradition of career achievements and contributions to the nation.

Trong planted a tree in the memorial complex in the northern province of Bac Ninh of late Party leader Nguyen Van Cu, an outstanding student of President Ho Chi Minh and a staunch revolutionary who devoted his life to national liberation and the Party.
