Speaking at a meeting with Vietnamese and Cuban youths in Havana on Thursday, the Party leader described their friendship and fraternity as a valuable asset shared by the Parties and people of the two countries.

Mr. Trong said: “As future masters of the nations, young Vietnamese and Cuban people take responsibility to continue their predecessors’ revolutionary cause and succeed in building socialism in each country. You should always improve your revolutionary ideology and political will, study, work, and contribute to the nation. It’s your bright future and your glorious mission.”

On this occasion, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Tong Thi Phong and First Vice President of the Cuban Councils of State and Ministers Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez presented the Friendship Order, a noble award of the State of Vietnam, to five Cuban war veterans who visited Vietnam to assist in the struggle for national liberation and reunification.
