(VOVworld) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will visit Japan from September 15 to September 18 at the invitation of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Prior to the visit, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan had an article published on the Japan Times on the significance of Mr. Trong’s visit in Vietnam-Japan relations. He said the two countries have increased mutual trust and understanding over the last decade and reached the level of exclusive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia in March, 2014. In his article, Mr. Binh said that the visit will deepen the Vietnam-Japan exclusive strategic partnership toward increasing trust and economic connectivity, expanding cooperation, and promoting sustainable development.
