(VOV) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has presented the ‘Hero of the People’s Armed Forces’ Title to the People’s Police Academy in recognition of its positive contribution to the police force. In his speech during Tuesday’s award ceremony, Prime Minister Dung underlined the need to ensure political stability in the country. He said that guaranteeing national security and social order are essential for defending and developing the nation. PM Dung said ‘The Academy should continue to define its core goals and missions in its education, training, and research. These are to develop a top high-quality scientific research centre and a key university as part of the national project on multi-sectoral training with three levels of education: bachelor degrees, masters and doctorates. He asked the academy to update its training methods and programmes, and promote international cooperation to increase the quality of its training. It must also put together teams of qualified managers and lecturers who will play a crucial role in developing the police force. The Academy should strive to become the country’s leading center for scientific research, for the police and the country’s educational system’.
