(VOVworld) – The Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) will promote its role in stabilizing the petroleum, oil, and petrochemicals market to ensure the balance of the overall economy and national energy security.

The duty was stated in Petrolimex’s business and development plan for the 2011-2015 period, recently approved by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. Petrolimex intends to become a major economic group which will take the lead in applying advanced technology. Under the plan, the group will be involved in price stabilization in the petroleum market. PM Dung ordered the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the Ministry of Finance to adopt Petrolimex’s annual business and development plan to ensure its proper progress.
