1,000 questions from farmers and other people nationwide were referred to the Prime Minister relating to the farm produce market, capital and agricultural land policies, agricultural technologies, management of agricultural materials, rural workers, and new rural development.

Prime Minister Phuc said: “It’s important to find new markets. Made-in-Vietnam products were strongly promoted during overseas visits by Vietnamese top leaders. Many Vietnamese fruits including mango, longan, and rambutan have successfully penetrated new markets. The producers themselves should be proactive in searching for outlets. Farmers and cooperatives need to study the needs of export markets. We need better production planning.”

Before the dialogue, Prime Minister Phuc visited Chu Dau, an ancient pottery village in Hai Duong province.

He praised efforts by the Hai Duong authorities and people to revive Chu Dau pottery.

“We should treasure the artistic values of our pottery products which have become known worldwide. We need to make the consumption of made-in-Vietnam products a matter of national pride. I hope the people of Chu Dau will continue to improve their products and spread the Chu Dau brand name to international markets, ” Mr Phuc noted.

Chu Dau pottery village was formed in the 14th century and enjoyed its heyday in the 15th and 16th century. The trade waned in popularity due to wars and was restored  in 2001.
