At a reception for Bill McDermott, CEO of SAP, a German company, in Hanoi on Friday, PM Phuc applauded SAP’s digital government solution which has been successful in several countries. He called on the company to work with the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications to pilot this solution to build a facilitating, transparent government, which serves the people.

Mr. Phuc suggested that SAP works with Vietnamese agencies and localities to apply its future city solution in building and managing smart cities in Vietnam, while piloting SAP’s digital transformation technology in local telecommunications enterprises.

Mr. McDermott said SAP is committed to working with Vietnam in digitization and wants to participate in e-government building, development of small and medium sized enterprises, and cyber security.
