At a meeting with businesses who participated in the Forum "Vietnam Business Towards ASEAN Economic Community" held in Hanoi on Sunday, Prime Minister Dung hailed the business community’s contributions to Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements and international economic integration. He said in addition to 10 free trade agreements signed earlier, Vietnam will sign the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement, as well as a free trade deal with the European Union. He added that these deals will attract huge foreign investment to Vietnam, boost exports and economic growth, and help Vietnamese businesses develop their administrative capacity and competitiveness. He said: "There was no way but integration to help Vietnam achieve rapid and sustainable growth. In integration, the business community must be a pioneer through the enhancement of effective management and technological innovation to reduce costs. The government meanwhile can help only through opening more markets and improving institutional and administrative reforms to facilitate business."

At a meeting with businesses at the Ministry of Industry and Trade on Sunday, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung asked the Ministry to improve its policies and mechanisms, boost administrative reforms, and create the best favorable conditions for businesses. He urged the Ministry to focus on developing domestic markets and expanding foreign markets by making full use of all free trade agreements Vietnam has signed.
