The meeting focused on the outcome of the recent mid-year National Assembly session and pressing issues such as national security and defense, administrative reform, Industry 4.0, and the development of the private sector. Prime Minister Phuc addressed voters' concerns over the fight against graft, including day-to-day corruption of low-level officials.

“Corrupted officials and Party members must be punished duly. We have ordered strict handling of the most recent case involving inspectors from the Ministry of Construction. We’ll leave no stone unturned in dealing with violators, particularly those working in the inspection, investigation, and auditing sectors. Greater transparency and increasing supervision are urgently needed in this battle,” Mr. Phuc said.

Prime Minister Phuc said that Vietnam is enjoying a rising global status evidenced by the country winning a UN Security Council non-permanent seat with a record number of votes in favor.
