Preliminary round of 13th National Radio Broadcasting Festival opens

(VOVWORLD) - The preliminary round of the 13th National Radio Broadcasting Festival in the Northern region opened on Friday in Thai Nguyen province.

This year’s festival focuses on radio’s role in promoting industrialization, modernization, and international integration. Mr. Tran Minh Hung, Vice President of the Voice of Vietnam, said the event is an opportunity to honor reporters whose work have a positive impact on society, as well as a chance for journalists to meet and exchange experience: “The shortlist round features 133 works and radio programs across 27 radio and TV stations in the Northern region, and 17 units of the Voice of Vietnam. Radio programs of ethnic languages are also included in this year’s shortlist to honor reporters, translators, and ethnic broadcasters”.

This year’s National Radio Festival will award 17 gold, 47 silver, 84 bronze and 60 consolation prizes. It also has 5 awards for the best program production work.
