President asks cipher sector to master cryptographic technology
(VOVWORLD) - President Tran Dai Quang has urged the cipher sector to focus on developing cryptographic expertise to serve Vietnam’s modernisation and industrialisation.

He made the request at a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday to present the title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” to the southern cipher department of the Government Cipher Commission in recognition of its contributions during the American war.
President Quang said asked the sector to modernise its infrastructure and master the latest cryptographic techniques in order to fulfill its mission.
The sector should also strengthen its coordination with ministries, departments, and localities in developing competent human resources, President Quang said.
