(VOVworld)- The Central Police Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security celebrated the 70^th traditional day of the People’s Police staff force on Monday in Hanoi. Over the past 7 decades, the force has grown steadily, successfully accomplished tasks, gained major achievements and contributed greatly to the People’s Police forces. At the ceremony, President Tran Dai Quang conferred the Military Exploit Order, first class, to the Ministry of Public Security’s staff agency.

Speaking at the event, Minister of Public Security senior lieutenant-general To Lam urged the force to advise the ministry’s leaders in issuing plans, and programs of action on implementing resolutions of the 12^th National Party Congress. He emphasized on the immediate task of safeguarding the elections of the 14^th National Assembly and of the People’s Councils at different levels.
