At a ceremony to mark the 91st anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and present a National Press Award for 2015 on Tuesday in Hanoi, President Tran Dai Quang said the Vietnamese Press has effectively reflected the role of the Party, State, social and political organizations and served as a forum for the people. President Tran Dai Quang said: “Peace, cooperation and development will be the focus in the coming years, but war, ethnic, religious, territorial and border conflicts and terrorism are still spreading and becoming more complicated in many areas. In this sense, the Vietnamese press is tackling more demanding tasks. This requires journalists to renovate the content, and technical facilities to ensure information security. The press needs to upgrade its operation to meet the requirements in international integration”.

The 2015 National Press Award received 1,660 entries from 169 media agencies. 92 works were awarded. There were 8 A prizes, 25 B prizes, 40 C prizes and 19 consolation prizes. The Voice of Vietnam won 9 prizes, including 1 A prize, 4 B prizes and 4 C prizes.
