President Truong Tan Sang has called on the trade unions to contribute more to party and state building and to reflect workers’ aspirations so that the party and state will adopt appropriate policies. The President made the statement at the 8^th conference of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on Thursday in Hanoi. He also praised the Confederation’s efforts and contributions to Vietnam’s achievements. Reports delivered at the conference stressed that trade unions at different levels have diversified their activities and rallied a large number of members, helping to inform the party guidelines and state policies to workers.
