(VOVworld)- President Tran Dai Quang met 55 disadvantaged children with outstanding academic results in Hanoi on Monday to mark International Children’s Day (June 1)

The President said implementing social policies and supporting disadvantaged people, especially disadvantaged children, reflect the fine tradition of Vietnam. He stressed the importance of child care, education and protection saying they are strategic matters in improving the quality of human resources. Quang said: “It’s necessary to disseminate laws knowledge and skills in child care, education and protection. We need to increase coordination between school, family and society as well as between agencies and organizations to realize the Children’s Law in 2016, build safe and friendly schools, and increase investment in facilities for children, especially those from ethnic minority and disadvantaged regions”.
