President Donald Trump says Iran not in compliance with nuclear deal

(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump believes Iran is not in compliance with the international nuclear deal reached in 2015, accusing Tehran of not “living up to the spirit” of the "horrible agreement."

He made the remarks while speaking to reporters at his private golf club in New Jersey on Thursday.  Last month Trump was forced to back off from a key campaign promise to withdraw from the nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. Trump had described it as "the worst deal ever" and accused Iran of continuing to back terrorism in the Middle East.

In another development, President Trump said he will soon announce a plan for keeping US troops in Afghanistan. President Trump’s administration still retains different points of view on whether to deploy or withdraw US troops from Afghanistan after 16 years of war.
