President HCM’s birth anniversary celebrated in Vietnam, abroad

(VOVWORLD) - Senior Vietnamese officials on Sunday laid a wreath and visited the HCM Mausoleum in Hanoi to commemorate the 129th birth anniversary of President HCM.

The delegation included Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and other agencies and organizations. The same day, HCM city leaders paid tribute to President Ho at the HCM Museum branch and the HCM Monument. For this occasion, municipal authorities honored 350 outstanding pupils in a campaign to follow President Ho’s teachings.

“President HCM’s teachings serve as a guiding star for our life’s journey. They inspire us to do good work at home and school,” said Tran Thi Kim Hoa from Cu Chinh Lan middle school.

President HCM’s birthday was also celebrated in Japan, the UK, France, and Chile. During his quest for national salvation, President HCM stayed in London from 1913 to 1917 and in Paris from 1921 to 1923.
