President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday anniversary commemorated in France

(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Embassy in France held a ceremony to mark President Ho Chi Minh’s 126th birthday. Ambassador Nguyen Ngoc Son, Head of the Vietnamese delegation to UNESCO Le Hong Phan, Vietnamese Embassy staff, and representatives from Vietnamese organizations in France burnt incense at the altar of President HCM at the Vietnamese Embassy, laid wreaths at the house where President HCM lived in France in 1921-1923, and visited Ho Chi Minh statue.

Fondini, a resident in Montreau, said at the ceremony: “President Ho Chi Minh was a great man who led the Vietnamese nation to independence and freedom. I’m a French revolutionary. I respect him and always stand side by side with Vietnamese people. I take a walk around here and watch President HCM’s statue every day.”

Therese Nguyen Van Ky, former President of the Association of Vietnamese people in France, said: “It’s impossible to talk about our sentiment. We attend the ceremony every year. Some people celebrate President HCM’s birthday at their homes or at the Vietnamese Association in France. Vietnam’s independence is attributed to President HCM and he is always in our hearts.”

The participants also listened to Professor, Doctor Hoang Chi Bao, a member of the Central Theory Council, talked about President HCM’s career and life.
