(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang met with a delegation of outstanding people with disabilities in Hanoi on Thursday prior to the Day of People with Disabilities on April 18.

President Truong Tan Sang joined a walk of people with disabilities in reponse to International Day of Persons with Disabilities in December, 2013

Sang said the Party and State have always paid special care for people with disabilities through specific policies to help them integrate in to society. He asked ministries and sectors to fine tune the mechanism for people with disabilities and the administrations at the grassroots level to pay more attention to the spiritual and materials lives of local disabled people. He urged individuals and social organizations inside and outside the country to further assist and protect the rights of people with disabilities and honors outstanding individuals for transcending difficulties in life.
