President pays tribute to Hung Kings

(VOVworld) – A delegation of Party, state and ministry leaders led by President Truong Tan Sang paid tribute to the Hung Kings at the memorial site of the Hung Kings in Ho Chi Minh city on Sunday. President Sang and 40 overseas Vietnamese then burned incense to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the HCM Museum.

He said that no matter where they are, overseas Vietnamese are always an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation. Tran Thi Thanh Huong from the US said: “Leaders of the Party and state always create favorable conditions for us to return to Vietnam and meet one another. I find the Homeland Spring program very interesting although it is held in HCM city for the first time.”

Professor Dang Luong Mo, who is a well known scientist in microchips, said: “The memorial site for President Ho Chi Minh is very nice. HCM city is very beautiful and the roads are big. I’m glad that Vietnam ranks second in the region in terms of designing microchips.”

In Sunday evening, 40 overseas Vietnamese, who have rendered great services to the nation, attended a banquet offered by President Sang at the Independence Palace. They were treated to a number of art performances in praise of Vietnam, its land and people.
