(VOVworld) – Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that Russia wants to become a reliable energy supplier to  Asian markets in order to diversify the destinations of its energy deliveries.

In an interview with the Indian Information Agency PTI, President Putin said this is because European consumption is growing too slowly and political, regulatory, and transit risks in the West are on the rise. President Putin is expected to arrive in New Delhi on Wednesday for a visit to expand strategic relations between Russia and India.
