(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang on Tuesday received a delegation of former Truong Son soldiers in the lead up to their 55^th traditional day on May 19^th. President Sang said that the Vietnamese party and state acknowledge the contributions and sacrifices of the soldiers and young volunteers along the Truong Son range in the past struggle for national independence. He said that the legendary Truong Son trail (nơ Ho Chi Minh road) symbolizes the nation’s strong will to achieve peace and national independence. He said he hoped that the Truong Son war veterans will continue to encourage younger generations to contribute to national construction and development.
