(VOVworld) - Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang delivered a speech at the closing ceremony of the APEC CEO Summit in Lima, Peru, on Sunday.

He conveyed a welcome message to APEC enterprises, inviting them to Vietnam to join the CEO Summit as part of the 25^th APEC Summit Week to be organized in Da Nang city. He said: “Through APEC activities, particularly the CEO Summit, I called for ideas and initiatives to concretize priorities for the APEC year 2017 and boost interactions between the government and businesses. We expect your initiatives to finalize the Bogor goals by 2020 and implement more effectively strategies, roadmaps, and plan of action of APEC. We need to boost sustainable and inclusive development, deepen regional links, enhance capacity and innovation of micro, small and medium businesses, and ensure food security and sustainable agriculture.”

He praised the support of the APEC Business Community over Vietnam’s 30 years of renewal process and almost 20 years since Vietnam became a member of the APEC Forum.

With the theme “Creating a New Driving Force for a Common Future”, Mr. Quang called on APEC enterprises to jointly make new milestones, put forth more initiatives, and realize them for the APEC Vietnam Year 2017.
