(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s President Tran Dai Quang hosted Iranian Ambassador to Vietnam Saleh Abidi in Hanoi on Tuesday, saying Vietnam attaches importance to the upcoming visit by Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani.

President Quang said he believes the visit will be a crucial milestone and bring the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries to the next level. He said he hopes the Ambassador will continue his contributions to enhancing ties between Vietnam and Iran.

Ambassador Saleh Abidi said Iran wants to partner with Vietnam in nanotechnology and cell and space technologies. He said Iran is determined to increase its two-way trade and economic cooperation with Vietnam.
