President Tran Dai Quang sends congratulatory letter to AIPA 38
(VOVWORLD) -President Tran Dai Quang has sent a congratulatory letter to Pantaleon Alvarez, Speaker of the Philippines’ House of Representatives, who will chair the 38th ASEAN Inter-parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) in Manila from Thursday.

President Quang applauded the conference’s theme “AIPA and ASEAN: partnership for comprehensive change” as indicating an important step forward for AIPA and ASEAN towards a brighter future for Southeast Asia and each member country. Amid global and regional complexity and uncertainty, the ASEAN Community has made effort to maintain solidarity, unity, and development with the 2025 Vision, consolidate ASEAN’s central role in addressing traditional and non-traditional security challenges, maintain regional peace and stability, and settle disputes through peaceful means on the basis of international law.
President Quang said he believes that AIPA will continue to uphold its role as a regional legislative organization to increase connectivity between ASEAN’s legislative and executive agencies to bring practical benefits to the people. He added the Vietnamese National Assembly proactively participates in AIPA’s activities to help build an ASEAN Community of stable and sustainable development.
