(VOVworld) - President Truong Tan Sang met Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Thursday. President Sang repeated Vietnam’s policy of independent diplomacy and respecting a stable and long term relations with China.

He called for the implementation of common awareness and commitments between both countries’ leaders to deepen mutual understanding and friendship. He asked for well control of conflicts at sea, not expanding disputes and securing peace, stability and development in the East Sea.
President Xi Jinping reiterated Chinese constant policy of promoting friendship with Vietnam for mutual interest and regional peace and development.
