(VOVworld)- President Truong Tan Sang received the newly-appointed Italian, Mexican, and Hungarian Ambassadors in Hanoi on Wednesday.

At a meeting with Italian Ambassador Cecilia Piccioni, the President highlighted the development of bilateral ties. Sang expressed his hope that Italy would support the ratification of the Agreement on Comprehensive Partnership and Cooperation and the signing of a Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the EU. He praised the G7 countries’ stance on resolving all disputes in the East Sea through peaceful means and on the basis of international law. President Sang told the Mexican Ambassador to Vietnam Sara Valdes Bolano that Vietnam treasured cooperation with Mexico and urged the two countries to strengthen bilateral cooperation and increase two-way trade. President Sang thanked Hungary for supporting Vietnam in its past national liberation struggles and current national development. Sang promised to facilitate Hungarian businesses to invest in Vietnam.

On the same day, President Sang presented the decision on the nominations for 16 Vietnamese foreign ambassadors. The President stressed the importance of their work and asked them to take all opportunities to gain international support for national development and defense.
