(VOVworld) – On Wednesday President Truong Tan Sang visited Ninh Thuan province to review its socio-economic development and national defense.

He asked the province to devise long-term plans to cope with drought and restructure crops and animal husbandry to stabilize people’s lives. President Sang stressed the need to develop the marine economy by building more seaports and supporting offshore fishing. President Sang asked the province to step up administrative reforms to attract more investment and prepare for Party congresses at all levels toward the 12^th National Party Congress.

President Sang also paid a visit to Air Defense Regiment 937, which is tasked with defending Vietnam’s maritime sovereignty in the southern region as well as conducting flight training.
