Prime Minister meets Overseas Vietnamese in the Netherlands

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had a talk with the Vietnamese Embassy staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in the Netherlands on Sunday.

At the talk after the inauguration of the new Vietnamese Embassy building in The Hague, Vietnamese Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa reported the Prime Minister on cooperation between the two countries in economics, trade, education and training.

1,200 Vietnamese students are studying in the Netherlands. Prime Minister Phuc said his visit aims to deepen the strategic partnership with the Netherlands on climate change adaptation, water management, sustainable agriculture and food security. Mr. Phuc said the visit will also help boost cooperation in marine economy and logistics services and call on Dutch businesses to invest in Vietnam. He added the trade ties between Vietnam and the Netherlands are developing with two-way trade reaching 7 billion USD. He said: “The Netherlands has given good recommendations to Vietnam in organic and high-tech agriculture, which should be made full use of. Vietnam not only buys Dutch goods but also export its goods to the Netherlands. We hope to receive more Dutch technology in processing and manufacturing.”
