(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung began a 3-day visit to Cambodia on Sunday at the invitation of Prime Minister Samdech Hunsen.

The visit is aimed at boosting cooperation between the two countries in a number of areas including economics, trade, and investment. In 2013, Vietnam and Cambodia exchanged visits at all levels and strengthened cooperation in defense and security as well as the search and repatriation of the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers in Cambodia. By June 2013, Vietnam invested in 130 projects in Cambodia worth a total of 3 billion USD focusing on mining, electricity, telecommunications, finance, and banking. The two countries have committed to quickly completing border demarcation and marker planting in order to build a border of peace, friendship, stability, and development.
