(VOVworld)- On Wednesday, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung praised the World Bank’s assistance saying it helped Vietnam achieve remarkable achievements in various fields.

At a reception for World Bank Country Director Victoria Kwakwa, the Prime Minister urged the World Bank to provide further resources, policy consultation, and technical assistance to help Vietnam achieve its development goals, avoid the middle-income trap, and obtain higher economic growth. The World Bank Country Director promised to work with other partners to find financial resources for Vietnam to realize its development goals and ensure sustainable budget debt payment. Sharing concerns about Vietnam’s difficulties due to drought and saline intrusion, she said the World Bank will continue coordinating with relevant ministries and sectors to help Vietnam cope with climate change.
