(VOVWorld) The Ca Mau Urea Plant introduced its first commercial urea product and launched a campaign to mark the founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam on Monday. The Plant is part of the 780-million-USD Ca Mau Gas-Power-Fertilizer Complex, which applies international advanced technologies. It will officially run its production lines in two months to churn out 800,000 tones of urea annually. Addressing the ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said: “With the capacity of producing 800,000 tones of urea every year, the Ca Mau Urea Plant will meet 40% of the Mekong Delta region’s demand. It also means that we will not have to spend 400 million USD to import this volume”.

Prime Minister Dung said that the Ninh Binh Urea Plant is scheduled to be completed next month to exceed the national demand by about 300,000 tones of urea every year. He expressed his pleasure for the first commercial urea product of Ca Mau Urea Plant, saying it also marks the full completion of the Ca Mau Gas-Power-Fertilizer Complex after a decade. The same day, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung cut the ribbon to open Dam Cung bridge which crosses Bay Hat river in the province.
