Addressing Sunday meeting with the Vietnamese Embassy staff and overseas Vietnamese, Dung affirmed that Vietnam’s Party and State have always supported a Cambodia of peace, stability, national harmony and prosperity. He said that along with the development of political and diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Cambodia, economy-trade, science-technology, sports and tourism relations are improving steadily. Vietnam has invested more than 3 billion USD in Cambodia. Their two-way trade turnover in 2013 exceeded 3 billion USD, which makes the target of 5 billion USD in 2015 feasible.

The Prime Minister urged Vietnamese companies in Cambodia to participate in social security’s activities there. He approved the Vietnamese Association in Cambodia’s proposal for more university scholarships for Vietnamese children in Cambodia. Dung hoped the Vietnamese in Cambodia would bring into full play solidarity and mutual assistance and always turn to the motherland. On this occasion, the Prime Minister cut the inauguration ribbon of the new Vietnamese Embassy office in Cambodia.
