Addressing the opening ceremony on Sunday in Hai Phong city, he asked the investors to modernize the port’s mode of operation and organize good logistic services to reduce transportation cost.  PM Phuc called on the Hai Phong International Container Terminal Company Limited to capitalize on achievements of the 4^th Industrial Revolution. On the occasion, he thanked the Japanese government and people for their support, close cooperation, and creating favorable conditions for the project, contributing the Vietnam-Japan friendship and cooperation.

With two 750m-long wharves, the HITC is capable of receiving vessels up to 14,000 TEU. The goods output through the port are estimated at 1.1 million TEU per year. Construction of the 45-hectare port began in 2016 with a total investment of 321 million USD.
